The University of Sydney Union (USU) is Australia’s oldest and largest not-for profit student organisation, led by a Student Board elected by our Members. Operating across five departments: Student Programs, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Sales, Marketing & Infrastructure, and People & Culture, the USU is the engine behind all the fun things outside of lectures, exams and assessments, providing students with the opportunity to engage, grow and develop. We provide key programs, services and facilities that enhance campus life for the many thousands who join and interact with us.
Our events and activities include major festivals such as Welcome Week and Pride, speaker series, international and volunteer programs, markets, creative arts and student revues. In addition to events and activities, we run the most awarded startup program in the university sector, support over 200 clubs and societies, run an acclaimed art gallery, operate food and retail outlets and bars all across campus, and supply official uni merchandise through our USYD Stores.
Positioned as The Heart of Uni Life, the USU has a mission to provide the best campus experience in Australia. Striving for continual improvement, all income the USU receives is reinvested into our organisation for the benefit of current and future members of the University community. As an organisation, we are excited to launch MAD and provide our students, staff and stakeholders with an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of indigenous children and supporting young people with gender issues.
